Bike Lane Violations in Portland
School Bus Parks Daily
22nd and mcgillivray, Vancouver, WA
So the number 19 bus parks in the bike lane for 20-30 minutes every single day even though it is picking up kids at the kindercare in the Fred Meyer parking lot less than 100 yards away.
She drove off this day when she saw me taking the picture, but she was back the next 2 days.
Problematic residential bike lane
18590 SE 41st Dr, Vancouver, WA
This residential street is not even classified as a minor collector by the city of Vancouver, yet it has bike lanes and appropriate signage of the HOV diamond type. In spite of both these signs and the fact that most of the houses in this neighborhood have alleys in which to park, parking in these bike lanes in an everyday occurrence. So common the error, that even Google Street View shows it!
When this street was covered with a slurry seal a week ago or so, the bike lanes were not repainted immediately, and despite the signage, cars continued to park in the same area.
Dead-end bike lane
17890 SE 43rd St, Vancouver, WA
Despite being on a dead end street, there is still a bike lane which is still completely illegal to park in. This homeowner does it regularly.
Three in one in Vancouver.
E S and Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, WA
"I'll take the bike lane!" "I'll get the sidewalk!" "I'll do both!"
In case my cell phone's pictures are even worse than they look to me, the furthest car is taking up the entire width of the bike lane and part of the travel lane, the middle car is parked squarely on the sidewalk, and the closest car covers both the sidewalk and bike lane from the driveway.
If that's not dangerous to cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians, then I don't know what is. Needless to say, the authorities were called.

Only handicapped mentally...
High St. and 14th St., Eugene, OR
This car, complete with temporary handicap placard decided that the heavily travelled bike lane would be a great place to park! Too bad the guy's name, Ed MacIntosh was written on his handicap card. By the time I was needing to use the bike lane where he was parked, he had already been ticketed. I still called our local traffic enforcement and reported him again. Let's hope he gets a second ticket and an expensive tow!
P.S. This is a one way street, so the bike lane is on the left hand side of the road.
